It takes the highest Legal Agent Benchmark score recorded, becoming the first model to break 10% on the all-pass standard for substantive legal work. A key improvement is honesty: the model is roughly four times less likely than Opus 4.7 to let flaws in its own code pass unremarked, while proactively flagging uncertainty and avoiding unsupported claims. With a 1M token context window, better context management across extended sessions, and improved token efficiency, Opus 4.8 supports dynamic workflows that coordinate many parallel subagents for large-scale tasks.
