Jina search

Jina Search is the web search API from Jina AI, the Berlin company Elastic acquired in October 2025. Send it a query and it returns the top results with their URLs and each page's full content as text a model can read, not just a snippet. On Opper it is the engine opper:web_search uses whenever a model has no search of its own, and you can pin it for any model with "engine": "jina". Search processing stays in the EU, so on an EU-hosted route the model, the query and every page it reads stay in Europe, with citations in your endpoint's own shape and every search in your traces.
