The text editor tool is Anthropic's tool that lets Claude view, create and edit files. Claude sends view, create, str_replace and insert commands, your application applies them, and max_characters caps how much of a large file Claude sees at once. On Opper it works on the Messages endpoint, on Claude from Anthropic, Vertex and Bedrock alike.
