O3 Pro

O3 Pro is OpenAI's extended-compute reasoning model, released June 10, 2025, pairing the problem-solving and tool integration of O3 with substantially more computation. It is built to think longer and provide more reliable responses on the hardest problems. The model supports full tool use, including web search, Python analysis, image and file processing, and image generation, and is available through the Responses API. Because it allocates extended compute to deeper analysis, requests can take several minutes to complete. Like O3, it accepts text and image input with a 200,000 token context window. O3 Pro suits complex business decisions, research, scientific problem-solving, and high-stakes engineering work where answer quality outweighs latency.
