GLM-4.5 is Zhipu's agentic foundation model with 355 billion total parameters and 32 billion active through a Mixture-of-Experts architecture. Released July 2025, it unifies complex multi-step reasoning, professional code generation, and tool-driven agent workflows in a hybrid system that switches between a deep-thinking path and a fast-response path based on task complexity. The model's 128K context window and BF16 or FP8 format options support long-document processing and efficient deployment. Across 12 industry benchmarks GLM-4.5 scores 63.2, placing it third among evaluated open and proprietary models, with strong tool-calling results reported at a 90.6% success rate, ahead of Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Kimi K2.
