It processes text, image, and video inputs with a 300K token context window, enabling developers to handle complex, multi-turn interactions, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows, and agentic applications. Key capabilities include document understanding for field extraction and data localization, visual inspection and defect detection workflows, video analysis with temporal reasoning, and reliable function calling for tool use and automation. Nova Pro achieves high accuracy on vision tasks while maintaining practical performance for language understanding and generation. The model supports prompt caching and fine-tuning for customization, letting developers adapt it for industry-specific applications and terminology. Like the rest of the Nova family, it understands and generates content in over 200 languages, with optimization for 15 including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Hindi, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, and Hebrew. Launched in December 2024, Nova Pro positions itself above Lite for the most demanding multimodal work, making it well suited to enterprises that need strong vision and language performance without the extended thinking of the newer Nova 2 generation.
