Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image, known as Nano Banana 2 Lite, is Google's fastest image generation model, released in late June 2026 as the speed-oriented end of the Nano Banana 2 line. One API covers text-to-image generation, image editing, and multi-image composition, with typical generations landing in around four seconds, roughly 2.7 times quicker than Gemini 3.1 Flash Image. Outputs arrive at 1K resolution across 14 aspect ratios and carry an invisible SynthID watermark identifying them as AI generated. The model is made for high-velocity creative pipelines, rapid prototyping, and real-time consumer applications, anywhere thousands of images matter more than squeezing out maximum fidelity per frame.
