Wan 2.2 T2V A14B is the text-to-video checkpoint from Alibaba's July 2025 Wan 2.2 release, published under the Apache 2.0 license. It brought a Mixture-of-Experts design to video diffusion, pairing a high-noise expert that lays out the scene early in denoising with a low-noise expert that refines detail later, for 27B total parameters with only 14B active at each step. The split lets the model spend capacity where each denoising stage needs it, delivering strong motion and composition without the inference cost of a dense 27B model. It generates short clips of around five seconds, is trained for 480p and 720p output, and its open weights have made it a popular base for fine-tuning and custom video pipelines.
