Tencent's Hunyuan team builds large language, image and video models and publishes much of the line with open weights. Hy3, the third generation released in July 2026, is a 295 billion parameter Mixture-of-Experts that activates roughly 21 billion parameters per token and ships under Apache 2.0 with no geographic restrictions, a change from the April preview that had excluded the EU, UK and South Korea.
