Poolside trains its models from scratch for software engineering, post-training with reinforcement learning from code execution feedback inside the same agentic harness used for evaluation, and native reasoning can be switched on or off per request. The model is tuned for long-horizon agentic coding, sustained tool-use chains, and repository-scale tasks that span many files and steps. Poolside reports strong agentic benchmark results, including 70.2% on Terminal-Bench 2.1 and 78.5% on SWE-Bench Multilingual, positioning it against much larger frontier coding models. It suits production coding agents that need dependable multi-step execution rather than single-shot completion.
