Particle-1 is the first model from Particle AI. It is DeepSeek V4.1 Flash with a rank-64 LoRA adapter (about 1.25% of the parameters), trained with reinforcement learning in coding and data-engineering environments to reach an answer with less reasoning. On Particle's own coding benchmarks it uses 28% to 52% fewer output tokens than its base model, about 45% fewer on average, with a pass rate inside the base model's confidence interval. It keeps DeepSeek V4.1 Flash's 1M-token context, image input, tool calling and reasoning controls. The weights are not published.
