This is the image-to-video mode of MiniMax's Hailuo 02 Standard, which animates a supplied starting image according to a text description of the motion and outputs at 768p. Hailuo 02 arrived in June 2025 on the Noise-aware Compute Redistribution architecture, and MiniMax later added end-frame control so a clip can be steered toward a defined closing image as well. The physics strength of the Hailuo 02 family carries directly into this mode, so animated subjects move with believable weight instead of floating through the frame. It fits bringing photographs and rendered stills to life, product motion tests, and first-to-last-frame transitions where both endpoints of the shot are fixed.
