Opper AI partners with GreenPT for renewable-powered open-weight inference in Europe

Stockholm, Sweden, September 2026. Opper AI and GreenPT are partnering to bring GreenPT's renewable-powered European inference to the Opper AI gateway. Builders can now reach GreenPT's catalogue through the Opper API, from Kimi K3 and GLM-5.3 to GLM-5.3-Flash, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and MiniMax M2.5.
Why this matters
Inference that shows its footprint. GreenPT is a Dutch company that builds AI around its energy footprint rather than around raw throughput. It runs on European data centres powered by renewable energy, with air cooling that uses a fraction of the water most sites need, and its own chat app shows the energy use and CO₂ of every conversation as it happens. That makes the route a natural fit for teams that report on the footprint of their software, or that simply want the models they run to line up with the rest of their sustainability work.
The newest open weights, at a million tokens of context. GreenPT keeps its line-up on current releases: Moonshot's Kimi K3 for long-horizon agentic work, Z.ai's GLM-5.3 with GLM-5.3-Flash as the light tier of the same family, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, and MiniMax M2.5 for agentic coding. GLM-5.3, GLM-5.3-Flash and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash all carry a million-token context window here.
Clear data handling. GreenPT BV is a Dutch processor. On its EU endpoint, prompts and outputs are processed inside the EU, API payloads are handled in memory and not stored, and customer data is never used to train models. More than a router: Rules for every call. Routing to GreenPT is just the entry point. Every call through Opper can run under your Rules: spend limits, data retention, model access, content checks and routing order, set once for the organization or per project. Pin GreenPT for a task or set it as a fallback, and because GreenPT is OpenAI-compatible, getting there is a model string, not a migration.
