FLUX-2-pro is Black Forest Labs' balanced production variant of FLUX-2, released in November 2025, pairing a 32 billion parameter rectified flow transformer with a Mistral-3 24B vision-language model for sophisticated text understanding. It generates and edits photorealistic images at up to 4 megapixels with strong detail accuracy in difficult areas such as hands, faces, fabrics, and small objects, and quantized FP8 builds let it run on consumer GPUs with roughly 18 to 24GB of memory. FLUX-2-pro accepts up to 10 reference images for character and product consistency, supports multi-reference conditioning, and renders text reliably. It takes hex color codes directly in prompts for exact color reproduction and supports flexible aspect ratios and output resolutions, making it a more accessible alternative to FLUX-2-max for product visualization, brand asset creation, and structured design workflows that balance quality, consistency, and practical deployment.
