Web fetch

by OpperReaddocs.opper.ai

Send a URL and get the page back as clean markdown, ready to put in front of any model. It runs on Jina in the EU, and max_chars keeps long pages inside your context budget. Claude and Gemini models can also fetch pages themselves with their own tools, which Opper passes through.

FAQ

Web fetch FAQ

What comes back from a fetch?

+
The page's content as markdown. Set max_chars to truncate long pages, or 0 to get the full page.

Where does the fetch run?

+
Opper's fetch endpoint runs on Jina in the EU. Claude's web_fetch and Gemini's urlContext run on the model provider's infrastructure, and Claude's web_fetch is not available when Claude is served from Bedrock or Vertex.
