Korean lab behind the open-weight Motif models.
Motif Technologies was founded in February 2025 as a subsidiary of the Korean AI infrastructure company Moreh, and designs its foundation models from the ground up rather than adopting an existing open-source architecture. It has published the Motif-2.6B small language model, the Motif-Image-6B text-to-image model and the larger Motif-2-12.7B, and was selected as an elite team in South Korea's national Independent Foundation Model programme.
