Clairic is the first of Cloudflare's System One extraction models, released as a preview on Workers AI on October 19, 2026, with open weights planned. You send a state (text, plus up to four images) and a schema of named, typed fields, and it returns one typed value per field in a single pass: read from the input, computed from it, or predicted beyond it. It generates no tokens, so every answer is a valid value of its type, or null when the input does not determine it. Field types are text (an exact span of the input, with its character offsets), number, date, time, datetime, duration, list, estimate (a distribution within your bounds, with a median and an 80% interval) and forecast (one estimate per future step, up to 64). Scalar answers carry p_null, the probability that the input does not determine the value, and a confidence score; estimates can also return all 99 percentiles. Fields that do not fit beside the input in one pass are split across parallel passes, so there is no limit on how many you ask for. Use it for extraction composed in code: invoice totals and due dates, claim amounts, delivery dates and estimates from comparables, with p_null, confidence and the intervals deciding what to automate and what to send to review. Cloudflare names this preview's limits: one- and two-step arithmetic is reliable, but long dependent chains and aggregation across many rows are not yet, intervals can run narrow on unfamiliar data, and forecasts are basic. Clef, its decision sibling, picks among options you define; Clairic is the choice when the answer cannot be listed in advance.
